THE ORIGINS OF SPORT

CIRCUS

The biggest show in the world: a destined dream to conquer children and adults through playand imagination. We must go back to ancient Egypt to find the origins of the circus: magic ritual practices religious and mystics, where jugglers and dancers cheered the court of the pharaoh. In ancient Rome the shows of gladiators and horses filled the master theaters and amphitheatres. The tradition of the modern circus stems from the art of the acrobats, men who writhing their bodies outnumbered their physical limits.

The design of this scarf tries to evoke the emotions of circus, then recounting its discovery, its history and its evolution.
The setting is linked to modern sport, evoking the 1930s, as in the entire first series of sport.
This scarf is made with a particular wool, with hand-rolled edges and a manual fringe of 1 cm.

EXCLUSIVE FINISHING "HYDRO SOFT"


On these scarves was used the exclusive and unique finishing system "hydro soft". It is a procedure with enzymes and steam that soften the fabric. In the final phase of this operation is used a particular enzyme, a "secret ingredient", which, like all recipes and the name itsefl, is not clearly revealed. The enzymes used in this finishing are proteins. Favoring the process of chemical reactions, increasing the stability and improving the properties of the fabric. Each scarf reacts in different way to this treatment. Subsequently the scarves are put into a tumbler, the drum rotates in various speeds according to the type of fabric, and needs to break the fibers in a gentle way making them even more elastic and soft. The final result is a unique and characteristic matt effect, floating, aged, fresh and wear out. The exclusive finishing is made in a Company from our territory in Como, exclusively for Fumagalli, in the full respect of the environment and rules to use the fixing textiles agents.
