WHY FUMAGALLI TIES ARE SO SPECIAL
it is not due to only one particular sign, but it is due to the union of several touches of craftsmanship, starting from the choice of a high quality fabric. The selection of the design, its placement, the creation of the model for the frame or the preparation to the printing are only the first steps for the great success.

HAND MADE TIES ANATOMY

Blade, collar, tail, lining, tip, self-loop, bar-tack and thread.

All the stages of creation must be done with extreme care and precision

THE MODEL

The hand made tie is composed of three parts which are obtained by cutting along the outline drawn on the cloth.
There are a lot of cutting patterns, each one is designed to meet the most different needs of the customers: the bottle model, the linear one and an infinite range of sizes.

THE CUTTING

After placing the model on the fabric, it is the time to mark the fabric's panel.
The cutting is the most delicare operation because the template must create a perfect angle of 45° with the fabric. One degree more or less could create the loop effect when you wear the tie.
it is a great skill to be able to do it with extreme precision.

THE UNION OF PARTS

The three parts, obtained from the cutting, are sewed together with needle and thread.
At this point, the liners are sewn to the two ends of the tie.
Then the interior, which has the function to support and enhance the qualities of the fabrics, is placed inside .
To obtain a  perfect node, the interiors are made of natural fibers, ensuring in this way the excellent return of the fabric

THE HAND SEWING

After carefully ironed the tie on the opposite side and supported the interior on the hooder fabric, the process of sewing begins.
only very expert hands are able to create a perfect tie.
An important detail is the eyelet which is located at the end of the tail, namely the narrowest part of the hand made tie. Its task is letting the wire free to run, so that it can not break when subjected to tension. The hand made ties that do not hace this crafted finishing, often, when you make or undo the knot, become unstitched.

THE FINAL TOUCHES

And now the label and the bar-tack are stitched.
After the quality control, which garantees a high level of craftmanship, the tie is ready to start its lon journey.

AND NOW WEAR IT, YOU FEEL A BEAUTIFUL SENSATION, DON'T YOU?
